As I was doing research on non-profit organizations, there was one issue that continually arose, that was the issue of accountability. For an individual to be willing to donate their hard earned money to a noble cause, they must know for themselves that the non-profit organization is fulfilling its commitments, that the money being received was being used for its intended purpose. I believe in today’s modern world, the ability to communicate via internet blogs is paramount to sustaining the goal of accountability, the ability to be completely open in all aspects of the daily operations, to be transparent as much as possible. This would include all donations, salaries, expensive and out flow in charity as well as post financial audits and IRS filings.
As important events and milestones occur, I will be documenting them by updating this blog. I believe this will be an immense help in communicating the needs and goals of this organization, help maintain a purpose and direction and to keep everything in prospective relative to the Christian values and ethics that are clearly taught by the bible. Most of all, I want to let our donors feel as though they are directly impacting people’s lives. Please help us make a positive impact for Jesus in this world, donate today.
